NESCAFÉ Get Started 2015 FAQs

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE TERMS & CONDITIONS
BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR DREAM.

By entering this competition you are acknowledging that you have read and understood and will comply with the terms and conditions.

COMPETITION ENTRY & ELIGIBILITY

You can enter if you meet the following criteria:

  • You’re between 18 and 30 years old
  • You’re a resident of one of the following countries: Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Senegal, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone, Benin, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe, and Togo.
  • You’re willing to start something substantial which respects our 5 Golden Rules.
  • You have a valid passport and are able to travel.
  • You don’t have any major illness that requires specialised medical assistance.
  • You can comfortably express yourself in French and/or English.

You submit your dream on the website by clicking on the “Participate” tab and filling in the form, after which you authorise NESTLÉ to use your details. Then, you click “Submit”

It is not mandatory but the more complete your submission the more likely it is that your dream gets published on the website for voting. We strongly recommend you submit a profile picture in order to make it easier for your friends to recognise you and vote for your dream.

You can only submit one dream.

Unfortunately not – only individuals can.

It’s the 14th of June 2015.

Definitely – provided that you don’t submit the same dream as you did last year.

Of course you can – after all, entry is online via the NESCAFÉ Get Started website. Just make sure you enter before the competition deadline which is 14th of June, 2015.

Yes it is, as long as profitability is not your main focus, but rather improving society through your idea.

If you have submitted your dream recently please be patient and check again in the next few days, your dream is going through the selection process.

If you submitted it over a week ago, your dream probably wasn’t selected for voting because it didn’t fulfill the 5 Golden rules.

VOTING

You can vote for as many dreams as you want in one day, but you can only give them one vote each per day. So, if you vote for Dream X once today, you can come back and vote for Dream X again tomorrow. However, you can’t vote multiple times for the same dream in one day.

Yes – you can only vote online on the website.

If you have been selected, NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ will contact you directly to inform you.

The final 4 candidates will be chosen based on votes and the NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ jury’s verdict. These 4 candidates will then be made known to the public.

The final 4 candidates will make their final idea/dream presentation to our jury of accomplished professionals who will assess each of them and submit their scores to the NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ team.

WINNER SUPPORT

NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ provides the winner with both mentoring and financial support of $30,000 for the purposes of the submitted project.

If your dream is one of the 3 final runners up, then yes you will receive financial support of $7,000 for the purposes of the submitted project.

Yes, transport and accommodation (if needed) will be taken care of by NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ. Participants must however be available within the participating Central and West African region (see participating countries in question 1). In addition, transport coverage begins from the direct flight/car to the NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ office from an area within the participating region, so any other prior transport costs are the participants’ responsibility. NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ does not cover passport or visa costs, (if required), and you must have a valid passport.

OTHER

The truck’s whereabouts during the tour are visible on the website via the “Truck Tour” tab.

NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ will only use your submitted personal contact details (phone number, email) to administer NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ related projects. However, when submitting your dream you are requested to agree to the terms and conditions which authorise NESTLÉ/NESCAFÉ to use your name, age, country, dream description and action plan, as well as your picture and/or video for media communication (including Television, Radio, Billboard displays and online platforms) in relation with the NESCAFÉ Get Started movement for as long as they’re needed. You have the right at any point in time to object to the continued use of those details.
